The Most Important Muscle You Can Exercise To End Yo Yo Dieting

Have you tried it yet?

I’m talking about Dr. Scott’s recommendation to eat more often – every 2 hours in fact.

If you have, then you’re probably noticing that right now all you’re thinking about is food. But I just wanted to encourage you to stick with it – you’ll find that it doesn’t take long at all for this to become a habit, and then it will feel much more natural.

Speaking of having food on the brain, it’s time we talked about the single most important muscle we can exercise. In fact, I will go so far as to say that without the cooperation of this muscle, our weight loss efforts are doomed to failure.

What muscle am I talking about? You’ve probably already guessed – it’s your brain. But you may not know just how important your brain is to weight loss.

You see, it all boils down to behavior. Can you and I continue to do the things we must do to lose weight and keep it off forever? Or will we find ourselves doing little things that sabotage our efforts?

How many times have you been doing well on a diet, then find yourself overwhelmed with desire to eat something that will blow it? I’m not talking about a run of the mill craving. I’m talking about that overwhelming voice in your brain that says you will simply go insane if you don’t eat the whole box of donuts.

Or that you just can’t get up and exercise today – and it’s really just too hard to keep doing this anyway.

Or any of a million other tiny little decisions that undermine what we’re trying to accomplish. Have you ever wondered why you make those bad choices even though you want to be thin and sexy and healthy more than life itself?

Well, scientists have discovered exactly why.

The answer, they say, is all in our minds. More precisely, way down deep in our subconscious. According to the scientists, the problem is most likely our own self-image.

You see, humans are wired to be basically honest – at least with ourselves. If we believe, for example, that we are kind people we will act in ways that are kind. If we believe (perhaps because we’ve been told so) that we’re lazy, then we’ll act lazy.

It’s because it’s uncomfortable for us to act in a way that goes against the picture we have of ourselves in our minds.

Well, if you’ve been overweight for very long, you probably see yourself as an overweight person. How can you not? Every time you brush your teeth or comb your hair, that image is reinforced in the mirror.

The tricky thing about this is that sometimes we think of ourselves as attractive or at least “not so bad” on a conscious level, while on a subconscious level the image we have is quite different.

In other words, you might be saying to yourself right now, “I don’t see myself as a fat person at all!” – and consciously, you’re right. But deep down, in that area of the brain that controls things like breathing and that keeps your heart pumping, your image may be something else entirely.

And as long as that part of your mind sees you as overweight, it will cause you to act in such a way that keeps you overweight. Just like it causes you to breathe and pump blood through your body. It will actually prevent you from becoming something (thin and healthy) that doesn’t line up with it’s picture of you.

So today’s action plan is to spend some time thinking about your self image. Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed and really dig deep. Close your eyes and try to get a handle on how you really see yourself.

We’ll be talking a lot more about self image and what it means to your efforts in our upcoming webinar – it’s now only 10 days away! We’ll also talk about ways of changing that image, and actually using your subconscious mind as an ally in your weight loss battle.

This information alone could revolutionize your efforts – and it can apply to any area of your life. But you’ll only get the full story if you join us on January 22 at High Noon Eastern.

I hope we see you there!
